Neighbors certainly woke up the competition with an estimated $51 million this weekend at the domestic box office! This total exceeds all expectations as it was only expected to do about as well as The Amazing Spider-man 2 which was entering its second weekend.
Both Rogen and Efron must be overjoyed to discover that this comedy breaks both of their previous highest box office records!
The Amazing Spider-man 2 did as well as expected given it was entering its second weekend with an estimated $37.2 million.
Both of the weekend's other new films, Mom's Night Out and Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, failed to meet their already low expectations.
