My brother and his wife are coming from Malaysia to the Philippines for Christmas! 
Our house is about an hour away from Manila, and there's not much to do around here, so they decided to stay in a 5-star hotel in the city... and they booked a room for us as well! Three nights, no less! Overlooking Manila Bay! Generous, or what?
So, although we will not be having a traditional Christmas at home, we will definitely be having a lot of fun! And to quote my sister-in-law's email (talking about my son): "I asked him, "what do you want for Christmas?" His reply: "presents". I can foresee that Christmas will be very good to him this year... wink, wink."
I have so many nice people in my family. 
Does anyone else have holiday plans they want to share on AB? |

I like his humour.
It's like what my partner does to me when I ask ''What's for dinner honey''
Her usual response ''food''  
Were not going away this year I have to work.
I'm working the four holidays this Xmas / New Years.
Working 16:00 - midnight Xmas & Boxing day, & around New Years shifts have changed to cover for someone who is away, so I'm doing 12 hour day shifts finishing at 20:00, so I will get to have a few
quiet drinks at home, can't have to many tho have to be back at work at 08:00.
If it wasn't for the shift change I would have finished work at midnight.
At least I get the morning with my partner & four kids, getting really anxious for Xmas day for our kids and watching them unwrap there presents.
This Friday we are having a family lunch, because my partners family is going away over Xmas.
So I'm secretly happy to get that over & done with & it just being us and our kids at home on Xmas day.
Then I have my work Xmas party on the Friday night.
Got my present from my boss today when I walked into work, a $100 gift card at one of the malls in Christchurch ( city where I live )
Quite nice, as it was only two weeks ago I got one from him for my birthday.
So all in all not much will change, due to work, but I know our kids
will have a great day, they have been spoilt this year, like usual.

Wow, you certainly are going to have a busy Christmas, -White-Wolf-, but at least you will be able to spend some important moments with your family.

Hey Msidoh got room for one more  Sounds lovely !!
Well this year my sister who is a RN has to work on Christmas at the hospital. So being that Christmas is a season of giving my mom, my son and I are going to volunteer our day at the local Veterans Home. But, Santa will still make his rounds on the 25th for my son. Then the day after on the 26th we will have our family traditional Christmas at my house

Personally, I have never celebrated Christmas in a hotel but I think the place is not important .. it is important to celebrate it with the people you care about...then you will surely nice and fun
