Heh VK! For someone who's trying to "get better" that's not bad at all. Seriously ignore those guys on TV who pull off all these lightening fast melodies and chord changes - they only do it because they can.
Sincerely, a few chords, verse, chorus, bridge and a steady-paced melody will pull in the crowds just as easily if you put your heart into it.
Do you remember the eerie Harmonica tune from those old wild west movies? That's really only a few notes merely played in different orders and phrases. One of the most famous tunes in history.
If you need any pointers in theory I'd be happy to throw a few guidelines in here and there.
I have recently acquired myself a lovely machine-headed Ukulele and I have been putting some jazz together. I have also invented a flute variant. I will be uploading some videos to YouTube when I feel fit and give you all a taster.
Oh and good band name by the way. +1

You say 'the quality sucks', yeah the recorded quality is a bit lacking but QUALITY will always shine through and you can definitely hear it. You're good and don't let anyone tell you different. I'm more into the Megadeth, Combichrist and Rammstein styles but you have a melancholic sound that reminds me very much of Tool who I also really like.
Keep it up and as long as you're enjoying the music then everything else will eventually fall into place. |

Heh D. Playing fast is an overly hyped myth that holds only very little credibility.
Most of these guys you hear playing fast "spectacularly" don't actually play fast "professionally".
Playing fast professionally is not so much a case of playing as fast as possible, but of playing faster at the correct moment. Merely increasing the number of notes per bar at various intervals, (obviously with some educated dedication), without playing as fast as possible, could be considered professional.
For example... A graceful piece of music that has a couple of passages which are faster, followed by the regular slower passages, then one much faster passage, followed by regular speed again is ever so much more professional than just playing as fast as you can as often as you can.
It is the contrasts of note regularity that catches the ear. Just as the contrasts of paint colour catches the eye. Merely splashing all the colours all over the place as quickly as possible with one brush will only look like a tragic mess.
I bet you can all think of a fair number of songs which sound like a complete noisy mess of unstructured ramblings by someone who is merely trying to prove he is the fastest guitarist in the world.
Think less of musical speed - and more of musical need. _________________
