I dunno, do you have an over clocked processor?
On a side note, why did you choose to make three different topics with exactly the same issue and also voice this same complaint in the shout box? Chances are this won't help you get the answer that you are looking for.

Hi Mary - and WELCOME. 
Click "Profile" in the menu at top, then right down near the bottom of your Profile page is where you can add picture. Either use one of the supplied ones, or if you have one on your computer then click "Browse" to find it (make sure it's within the size limitations shown) then "Submit".
Let's know if there's any problem with that.

You need 2,500 Credits to display an avatar. When you have earned the credits, by posting in the forums, commenting on games and winning tournaments you can visit the store to buy the avatar ability.
