The Foo Fighters recently announced that they are taking an "extended leave" from the scene,they have been together a fairly long time now and imo are a really great band.
I never have seen them live but would have liked to.
any fans have comments,Id like to hear some.
I personally hope they will be back!  |

They are one of my more favorite bands in the world and I think this will be good for them. Take a break and come back fresh with some new music. They are one of those REAL rock bands who know how to rock properly instead of being posers. They deserve a break.

| I 100% agree,I think you are right with them realizing the advantages of taking a well deserved break,theres no doubt down that road they will bring out some great new songs. |

Terrific band. Grohl is awesome. I don't think you will see him do the solo thing either.
You can look at this just like any other long term relationship... a break is needed to recharge the batteries so to speak. Of course there is always the other side where you see how much happier you are apart...
Nah that won't happen, like Leviathan said they will come back fresh and have some awesome new tracks. |

| They had a good run, but with all bands nowadays they will break up start 4 or 5 new bands, try a solo career and then in 3-5 years have a reunion tour to pay for all their failed endeavors. |
