James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Cliff Burton and Lars Ulrich....that would of been a supergroup lineup for sure. I think Dave and James wouldn't have got along too well over the years if Dave never got fired but that's just what I think might of happened. Cliff was (to me) the real reason why Metallica went in a different direction. If he didn't die in that bus crash they MIGHT of stayed with their 80's sound but who knows. I can't see Cliff agreeing to do Load and ReLoad. He loved thrash metal too much.
Don't forget Megadeth's Rust In Peace. It is one of the 15 or 10 greatest metal albums ever made (top 10 on my list). Also for me it's not the big 3, it's the big first 4 including And Justice For All. That album is awesome!!!! It's not as thrashy as Ride the Lightning/Kill Em All and it's not as solid as Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets but it's really close.

glad to see you. And, after seeing both of them live at the same concert, I'd have to say that metallica put on a better show.. But they are both such amazing bands, and hard to compare. |

| I have to vote for Megadeath due to the fact they haven't sold out their craft like Metallica has. I love old Metallica with Cliff Burton. I think that if he hadn't died Metallica would be at least 10 times better than they are now. |
