I will never understand the hate these guys get. They put their body on the line to entertain the fans and I consider them to be real life superhero's.

Some of you don't know this but sometimes a wrestler AGREES to take a huge bump.....

I ussed to watch wrestling i know the talking and stuff is real but i thought when John Cena does the 5 nuckle shuffle it goes right beside his head

Of course wrestling is fundamentally fake. OMG! No one is arguing it isn't! What the rest of intellectually capable people are saying is that the injuries sustained aren't. Everything is choreographed and the matches are staged. However, the long term effects of wrestling are very real. The most common long term injury is back and leg problems. Why the hell is it that people's comprehension of the written word is so low in this topic? Seems to me that only 3 people in this conversation have any clue as to how wrestling works.

champion thinks the talking part of wrestling is real? LOL!!! That's the fakest part of wrestling. They feud with other wrestlers to create storylines and to set up for a good PPV match. They don't actually hate each other although sometimes wrestlers don't get along in real life.

Wrestlers are trained to bodyslam and do other moves the right way so they don't injure their opponents. A lot of stuff you see in the ring is acting, it's called "selling a move". Shawn Michaels was one of the best ever at it and Dolph Ziggler might be the best at it right now among active wrestlers in the WWE. That doesn't mean everything you see in the ring is fake. These guys get tossed and slammed around and some do high flying moves. Obviously there are risks involved. But it's not just freak accidents that injure wrestlers, as Joe said....over time the bodyslamming and all can catch up to you and you develop knee, back and neck problems.

So many wrestlers have retired early from too much wear and tear or from a career ending injury. Not only is wrestling not completely fake as some ignorant idiots claim, it's also really tough to become a pro wrestler. You have to be mentally tough to be on the road so many times and wrestle in all those matches. Just watch Tough Enough to see what they go through to become a pro wrestler.
