That is amazing. These guys could come up with another name and create a few cutting edge games for that amount of cash.

that is quite an amount to spend on a domain. i'd say if u are that dedicated than u can just use any domain and still have success with the website.
btw what domain did u get 1k for? |

cant post the domain here for specific reasons. besides theres more to it then just having a name. traffic revenue and having that perfect name for what your selling. you wouldnt turn arcade boss into a site that sells BMX parts.
but you can turn it into a website that offers coin op / stand up machine repair services if thats your thing.

true but in my opinion if i'm dedicated enough to building up a successful website i would rather spend the money on advertising, etc. instead of buying an expensive domain.
i have not taken any marketing/business course so thats just what i think maybe i could be wrong  |

Agreed with that, giving so much money just for a domain name tells me they are on the wrong path, want to give out a strong message to all that they mean business, or there is a ton of money to be made in games for girls! 
I wonder what the website will look like when it is launched, it is blank now... |
