It looks like Amusement Journal just skipped July and updated the list of the most popular arcade games in Japan to August.
Here are the top 5 most popular Conventional/Non-dedicated cabinets:
1. Tekken 6:Bloodline Rebellion
Bandai Namco Games
2. Mobile Suit Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT
Banpresto
3. Blazblue:Continuum Shift
Arc System Works
4. Street Fighter IV
Capcom
5. King of Fighters XIII
SNK Playmore
Then there are the top 5 most popular games with large/dedicated cabinets:
1. Sangokushi Taisen 3:War Begins
Sega
2. Mahjong Fight Club:Reincarnation Garyu
Konami
3. Border Break
Sega
4. Mobile Suit Gundam:Bonds of the Battlefield (Ver B.)
Banpresto
5. Sega Network Taisen Mahjong MJ4 Evolution

As expected KoF makes its return to the list this year as I have noticed even in my arcade that it is MUCH more popular than the abject failure that was KoFXII.
Sega's arcade division must be happy given most of the games in the dedicated games category are from them!
I'm not at all surprised that the War Begins update released in June for Sangokushi Taisen 3 has helped it grab the top spot given even the old version was popular! The newer Border Break has also finally beaten Banpresto's Senjou no Kizuna. Sega Network Taisen Mahjong MJ4 Evolution has also pushed Taiko no Tatsujin 13 off of the list.

| I really never play arcade games anymore at least i dont play any of those. When ever i go to arcades they always have out dated arcade games like pac man or galaga. Frogger and pinball are at most arcades too. |

That is amazing!  Those games belong in a museum! I believe ONLY ONE local arcade even has ONE of those classic games and it is Pac-man.
Is that the original Pacman or a spinoff like Ms. Pacman?
Is that Galaga or a sequel like Galaga 3?
Is that the original Frogger or an unofficial clone like Hopper or Leap Frog?
I know my favourite pinball game and the one I play every month, if not every week, right now is Shrek:
