if i had to choose between the two it would be XP. Ubuntu is were its at for me. Using windows apps under wine, doesn't get any better then that. _________________ Don't Google it, Just Bing IT!

Vista is a good OS just as long as you have at least 2 gb ram and all of the microsoft updates. |

I'd rather wait for Windows 7... it's not long off the bench and it'll be way better than Vista. _________________

I look after 2 W95s, 2 W98s, 3 XPs *at work) and a Vista at home. I remember the adjustment from 95 to 98 was a couple of weeks then I was comfortable and actually preferred the 'new' one - from 98 to XP was again a couple of weeks - but from XP to Vista was about 2 YEARS ago, and I STILL don't like this durned stoopid newfangled thing!
I agree, wait till Windows 7 - maybe IT will feel "sensible" again - after a week or 2 adjusting. |

My laptop his Vista Home Premium on it and I LOVE IT. I find it to be more stable and it crashes far less often than XP did. _________________ -2nd Person to Join

XP is by far the much better product even though Vista is newer...it is kinda like comparing millenium to 2000 or even 1998...newer does not always mean better |

Personally, i like Windows XP. Windows XP is far way more user friendly then windows vista. But then, Vista has WAAAY awesome graphics. But then again, Are all games playable with Vista? i hear that some games cant be played with vista |
