IRL driver Dan Wheldon was killed today in the season finale at Las Vegas. Prayers to his family friends.

15 car crash that seen his car and another go airborne at over 220 mph. Very Very sad.

wow, that's nuts....its amazing to me that more of these drivers don't get killed....i know they made the safety restrictions incredible now, but some of these crashes are unbelievable to look at

Thanks to Master of Puppets for making this thread because I was going to make it but now I don't have to. I don't watch racing as much as I used to but I'm still a fan and I knew who Wheldon was. Here's the video of the horrific crash.

He was a 2 time Indy 500 winner including this year and had 16 career wins. He was only 33 and had 2 kids. Very very very sad.

It probibly broke his families hearts to hear that one of the best racecar drivers died
