Apparently 1000's of secret documents about the US's War in Afghanistan have been leaked showing that collateral damage and civilian casualties were hidden from the public. Is it just me or is anyone else really not suprised at this. Of course the US, Britain and others in the coallition are not going to tell the whole truth about the war just as the Taliban aren't either. This is a war and it's one ugly thing, innocent people are going to die and that's sad fact and we aren't going to hear about it. The million pound question is "Is it worth it?" |

Those documents were from 2004-2009, so mainly Bush years. It is Obama who stepped in to change policy, which is why there aren't any documents from a more recent date.
Apparently, anyway. _________________

WikiLeaks also released the recent leaked video on obmas watch from the same guy of U.S military killing "Innocent Civilians".
If one looks on line you'll find a unedited version of the tape it shows these "Innocent Civilians" were not so innocent they were hiding behind buildings with RPGs and mounter rounds waiting for troops to come around the coroner. Our US drone was their and did what it does and took out these "Innocent Civilians"
Now WikiLeaks made this video to look like it was done in cold blood. I dont know what lead up to the event when all went down no one does besides the one controlling the drone and those that were killed.
Its not right people died but its war and that how it goes.
That solider who leaked those 90k documents and recent classified video,
well in my opinion he should be shot for treason. _________________ Don't Google it, Just Bing IT!

I haven´t had a look on the wikileaks since yet, but I will. I didn´t doubt this for a second that there are going on some even more evil and dirty things behind the curtain. This has always used to be like that and will always be. There are amounts of conspiracies going on in the world, and lot of people are seeking for mightyness and money, a human life has not even a little worth. I lost my trust in the policy and lots of organisations many many years ago.
Unfortunately my english is not good enough to tell or to write what I exactly think about things like that... |

I'll admit that the guy that leaked the documents broke some kind of law, but I don't think they should be shot for it. It would serve no purpose at all and would cause far more trouble than if this was quietly forgotten, I mean who here remembers any kind of news story from 3 months ago? |

If on does a search they will learn a brief history lesson on Thomas Jefferson who shoot a man for treason on the White House lawn.
My step dad and other family members who served in past wars had told me similar stories were people like these were thrown back out in the field and purposely shot for act of betrayal.

any kind of news story? theirs the Nancy Peterson case, the Natalee Holloway case I can recall the U.S Marine Corps getting a 20-30million dollar contract to improve their cougar vehicles and Obama NASA strategy for deep space exploration that was back in April. _________________ Don't Google it, Just Bing IT!

I'll be willing to admit that I was wrong if you can tell me in all honesty you didn't have to sit there and try to remember all those stories, if you can then I'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong.
Maybe it's different in America but here in Britain EVERYTHING gets reported and I mean everything. No-one even half famous can sneeze without us knowing what colour it was. |

If your referring to me then yes I know all those stories as if they were on yesterdays news. I do keep up with news via blog sources almost daily.
For instance the oil spill disaster marks "I think" 100 days today.
On the Natalee Holloway case she was the girl that went missing in Aruba every one knows the story, Also Joran who may have killed her is in a South American jail for possibly killing another girl who they found strangled to death in the hotel they shared.
I do have a good memory on things going back to when I was about 5 years or so.
Like the saying goes you may forget a name but you never forget a face. _________________ Don't Google it, Just Bing IT!

Ok, I'll hold my hands up on that one, however I have noticed one thing. All the stories you listed are from the US. Interesting that you didn't list things like the man who went on a killing spree here in england and another manhunt for someone who basically hunted police. Or even the floods in Pakistan that have now killed over a thousand people.
I must say though i'm a little envious of your memory, mine is terrible. |
