Windows 7 beta arrived at the beginning of this year and it has been getting rave reviews; critics say this is the operating system that is actually superior to XP in EVERY way!
Have you tried Windows 7 Beta? Are you using Windows 7 Beta now? What do you think of it compared with XP? |

I can't believe all those who vote "XP" have tried - or even seen - Windows 7 !?
I have XP at work and Vista at home. I checked both today for "Windows 7 compatibility" - the (very old) XP machine failed almost everything, but my Vista laptop looked a lot better. However 1 or 2 things still put me off trying 7 (especially finding it doesn't have a POP3 email built in, like Vista does with its Windows Mail).
So I sit in the undecided camp for another few months, methinks.

Yes, I agree with you there. I doubt the two voters who voted for XP have tried or even seen Windows 7 because from what I have seen and read about the operating system; it does appear to be superior to XP in every way.
I guess I'm just surprised not more people have tried Windows 7 given all the positive reviews it has been garnering for months now. |

Windows 7 doesn't work good with XP, you really need Vista.
I use Vista and everything works fine, but 1 of my friends who still uses XP has nothing but troubles with Windows 7.

Once again under all that the fancy crap , Windows 7 is vista. Im thinking you meant to say Windows 7 is not as good as xp and may I add we all dont need vista either. Vista = POS
Also once Win7 does come out bye bye xp. MS will be discontinue all SP an security updates. Forcing all you sheep to buy win 7. I truely like xp out of all their os's and thats hard for me to say as I'm a linux user as well.

Windows 7 is not Vista, it's a new Windows operating system that is still in beta version.
when i first tried it the name was Windows Vienna.
what i wanted to say is that when you dual boot Windows 7 with xp or Vista, that it works much better with Vista.

Vista, arguably was the biggest disaster in Ms-oft history it was crap. Such crap they just worked on vista and code named it black comb and Vienna.
So 7 is just a repackaging of vista added some bells and whistles and make you sheep go ooh and bah and everyone is buying into the it not vista scenario.

LOL it's always the same crap.
When Windows XP came out, many people said that Windows 2000 was much better.
And it's the same now with XP and Vista.
Do you really think that a billions dollar company would create a product that is not better then the last one ?
btw If you don't like the new operating systems, maybe you should try Windows 1983, it still runs very good on my old Apple Computer !

Have you honestly TRIED Windows 7? I can understand XP is more practical given that it is no longer a release candidate but how do you know that XP is better than Windows 7?  |
