Starting your own forum

Ideas on getting your own forum started and people to post on it.

Forums are kinda hard to start in this day and age. With the likes of Social media sites it has pretty much rendered them obsolete.

So here are some of my tips.

Paid to posts is one of the easiest and quickest ways to get it started.

Get or start some arguments surfers bite like crazy.

Add women nicknames "pure classic", cash or rewards, I learned cash works best.

Pay someone to be 100+ people - See paid post 1. above.

Keep you forum up to date. Robot scripts/progies with auto signs will find you and flood the heck out of your forum with lots of spam.

Offer VISA/Amazon gift cards at least once a month, one for maby most responses or something like that.

Premium domains and micro niche helps a lot as well, micro niche is something that is small. For example you may have a forum for Weight Training micro niche would be Weight Training for Disability.

As the saying in the online market goes.
Find What You're niche is that will leave you to riches.

Also I have yet to see a free forum based sites bring in the traffic or cash as traffic and ads are controlled by the free host.
Blogger is fine of course if its just a blog.

Who knows Ma by one or 2 of those above can be implemented here as well "Hint Hint"

Those are some great ideas to starting up forums. Cash prizes are things that people love the most; or even giftcards. People love AGC's!

My dream has always been to start a forum site some time when I get older.

I was paying other to post on my board to help get the forum growing.

For instance I paid them to post , I had a few friends and payed them 10.00 a week that's 160.00 a month.

Or you can have one person do it all and pay him or her 200.00 a month, not recommended as 1 person who post tend to make the forum look and feel bland unless they have the skills to keep it fresh.

These are good points, but the only definite way of keeping members is by focusing your forum on a target niche or topic of unique interest.

My forum's more of a blog so I am not giving you an example there.

But in the world of forums, you will find "general discussion" forums that focus on most common subjects are unlikely to get anywhere - unless of course they are bonus forums to accompany the forum's target niche. With ArcadeBoss that is online, pc and video games.
