Here is my opinion on violent video games, or just video games in general. When i was younger i was aloud to play whatever video game i wanted. I was told at a very young age that it was all pretend and make believe and that the violence in a video game is not how i should act in real life.
Me being a fairly smart kid i knew that even though mario jumped up and smashed into concrete blocks to get coins, I knew that i should not do the same.
I believe that the parents are the ultimate censors in censorship. Some children and people are violent and it has NOTHING to do with Video games of any kind. And people are so quick to blame the media, instead of taking responsibilities for themselves and their children.
I believe that people/companies have the right to make whatever games that they want to and no one has the right to stop them.
People need to be more responsible and if you dont 'approve' of the video game then dont play it and dont let your children play it.
I personally feel that shooting someone or something in a video game is a hell of alot different than doing it in real life and im sick to death about people blaming video games and media. And if a video game is violent it doesn't give you an excuse to go to what they do on the game.
This is a country of freedoms. We are free. Free to do, sell and buy what we want. To tell someone that they cant make a certain type of game would go against what this country stands for. And if people got their way and they stopped making violent games, it wouldn't stop there. I believe they would continue to demand more things change and then our freedoms would slowly disappear and who is to say who is right and who is wrong?
Violent video games have EVERY RIGHT to exist on this planet as bibles do. It's not the game makers fault if someone becomes a bad parent and allows their kid to play a game they aren't old enough to play. Too many stupid idiots these days act out what they do in a video game. Those people need to be locked up in an insane asylum. I played some violent games when I was still pretty young and I could easily keep myself from acting violent because of a video game.
Never ever blame the video game.
Oh and by the way the bible has violence in it and parents take their kids to worship and learn about it every sunday.
For some reason, people seem to be more willing to do crazy things inspired by movies than video games.
I know of 2 incidents with human casualties when people were trying out scenes from "Natural Born Killers" and "Heat" in real life with real guns.
I don't know of an incident inspired by video game.
I know of a few. This one kid loved the game DOOM and when his parents made him mad he shot both of them in the head. The dad survived but the kid admitted that the game inspired him to do it. I can't believe how stupid people are. Either people are really stupid or I'm really smart. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/groups/moviesnshows/?ref=bookmarks
I am all for age limits on SOME games at young ages,
but no more than that. They cannot destroy something millions enjoy because they cannot grasp that the world does not revolve around them and there feelings on issues. Its annoying, and we have just as much right to do it than any other entertainment industry.

Are you sure it was Doom? It seems a bit old since I remember it like it happened in the past 5 years. Yes, now that I have done some research, it was a DIFFERENT game.
